GENERAL INFORMATION. Royal Worcester is a British-based producer of fine china and porcelain. The Royal Worcester United States marketing division asked Baston and Lance to produce a series of three pewter sculptures for offer as Bicentennial limited edition commemoratives. Baston designed a potter, cabinetmaker and blacksmith and the series was placed in fine stores around the country. 500 sets were sold and, in 1975, Baston added a Clockmaker to the group. The sculptures are large (approximately eight inches high) and heavy, buy Baston's design work is memorable for its composition, detail and graceful form.
