GENERAL INFORMATION. One of two simple figurines designed by Baston in 1950 that were meant to be sold in gift shops as inexpensive tourist items. Old Salt, a New England fishing character, is shown dressed in oilskins mending a net. He sold in 1950 for $1.50.
