GENERAL INFORMATION. William Penn was made for the Penn Mutual Life Insurance Company in Philadelphia, PA. A miniature replica of a large bronze statue, the miniature was distributed exclusively by the company president. The bronze statue was visible from his office. The company purchased small quantities at various time intervals over the years and Lance produced that last quantity of 500 after the Marblehead studio was closed - a situation similar to the Shawmut Indian (SML-93).
