GENERAL INFORMATION. Baston needed a lower-priced Nativity grouping than his large 1954 Nativity (SML-233). He broke that piece down into three major elements and sold them as a collectible continuity series. The standard for current miniaturization is 1:12 scale, or one inch for every foot. With this series, Baston had worked in 1:48, or one inch for every four feet.
