GENERAL INFORMATION. The Swift Instrument Company in Boston produced ship and home barometers. In 1958, Swift designed a small barometer to be sold in gift stores. Baston designed a girl in a typical sailing outfit and Swift mounted the barometer to the figurine. The girl stands 6" high. Baston produced 200 of them.
