GENERAL INFORMATION. In 1969, Lance cast Baston's Lexington Minuteman (SML-361), Concord Minuteman (SML-360) and Christopher Columbus (SML-176) sold them as gifts through retail stores.  Two small pewter plaques were attached to the Minutemen bases.  The Concord plaque reads: "Here once the embattled farmers stood and fired the shot heard round the world." and the Lexington plaque reads: "Stand your ground! Don't fire unless fired upon.  But if they want a war, let it begin here."
The figurines were soon (1971) taken off their wooden bases and sold simply as pewter.  Relatively few mounted on wood were sold.
