GENERAL INFORMATION. farmer's Wife was designed as a pair with the Farmer (SML-63).  Originally titled "Down East" from the John Gould story, "The Farmer Takes a Wife," Baston changed the title to Farmer's Wife in 1948.
She is sitting on the back steps peeling apples and tossing the peelings to a couple of hens.
