GENERAL INFORMATION. Baston designed Lobsterman and Sampling the Stew (SML-66) as a Maine couple, along with Farmer and Farmer's Wife.
Until the mid-1940's, before the lobster market was developed as a gourmet delight, New England lobsters were "the poor man's food."  A proud New England would hide the lobster shells in the garbage so neighbors wouldn't know they couldn't afford better.
