GENERAL INFORMATION. Baston had just begun work with distributor Schmidt Bros. and the first appearance of the line was scheduled for a department store in York, Pennsylvania, center of the Pennsylvania Dutch country. He designed these pieces specifically for that appearance and they remained in the line for many years.
