GENERAL INFORMATION. Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet (1596) has been popularized on stage, screen, radio, television and opera. Romeo Montague and Juliet Capulet suffer their love and marriage in the midst of the deadly feud of their families. At the end, he poisons himself and she stabs herself at his body. Realizing their hatred has caused the tragedy, the two houses make a tardy, sorrowful peace.
Baston mounted the couple on a common base in 1958 (SML-289).From Dr. Glenn Johnson's book, The Sebastian Miniature Collection.
