GENERAL INFORMATION Howard Johnson's restaurant in Quincy, MA was a small cafe that had survived the Depression and was beginning to flex its muscles with plans for national distribution. Although the restaurant did not have a gift shop at that time, they contracted Baston to design and produce 300 figurines that they used for publicity purposes.
