GENERAL INFORMATION
Baston designed Swedish Boy and Swedish Girl for the Svenska Kaffe Stuga in Sudbury, Massachusetts. That same year and for the next several years, the pair was sold in Worcester, MA gift shops and one shop in Delaware. It was always a Scandinavian specialty item and was discontinued in 1954. Approximately 500 sets were sold in all.
Baston used formal dress as illustrated in a book on the Darlana province of Sweden and "Sverige Darlana" is cast into the base. From The Sebastian Miniature Collection by Dr. Glenn S. Johnson.
