GENERAL INFORMATION. Baston chose these characters from As You Like It (1600) to conclude his Shakespearean series. Touchstone is a court jester, a witty and cynical fellow. His humor is realistic and biting and he openly insults his betrothed, Audrey, who is too stupid to realize it. Audrey later appears with Davy Crockett in Pioneer Couple - SML-288.
