GENERAL INFORMATION. In 1951, Baston had stopped distributing Sebastians through Carbone and Schmid.  Now selling through the Hunt local sales force (1951-1952), Baston designed a plaque advertising Sebastians and sold them to his dealers for display at their stores.  The plaque was available up to his 1976 transition to Lance.
From 1976 to 1978, Sebastians were produced in Hudson, Massachusetts, and the plaque wording was so changed.  In 1979, when the plant was opened in Lee, the words were changed to "U.S.A." and in 1980 and 1981 to "New England".  On December 31,1981, the plaque was changed from the 31-year-old Town Crier figure (SML-151) to Diedrich Knickerbocker (SML-145).
