GENERAL INFORMATION. Charles Ashley was the WEEI news editor. Baston portrayed him reading from a long teletype script. In 1951, he might be reading about President Truman firing General Douglas MacArthur during the height of the Korean War or Bobby Thompson's incredible last minute home run that won the playoff for the New York Giants in a last-day playoff against the Brooklyn Dodgers.
