GENERAL INFORMATION. 1948's Jordan Marsh Observer SML-113) leaves his position at the fence and is escorting Dame New England for this 1951 promotion by the Boston department store. Just as the Jordan Marsh promotions manager invented the "Observer" from all the sidewalk superintendents watching 1948 store construction, so too did he invent Dame new England. The couple was used in store promotions.
