GENERAL INFORMATION. Baston designed a young mother holding her twins, one sleeping and the other lively. The figurine was used as a promotion for one of Mead-Johnson's baby products and the base read: "Alike, But Oh So Different!" Baston made a four-foot-high version for use at trade shows. The mold was built into a metal barrel to contain the weight and almost one hundred pours were required to complete the sculpture. The finished statue was shipped in wooden crates all around the country."
In 1967, Baston added a nurse's cap and titled the miniature "Nurse."From Dr. Glenn Johnson's book, The Sebastian Miniature Collection.
