GENERAL INFORMATION. The New England Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals has a marble sculpture located in their Boston headquarters lobby. In 1966 they asked Baston to design a marbleized replica of the sculpture for use in their 1968 centennial celebrating the 100th anniversary of their founding. In 1967 and 1968 they used 2,000 miniatures.
