GENERAL INFORMATION. The first castings were on an oval base. It was decided to change the base to a higher, rectangular one after 250 pieces had already been cast. This later became a promotional piece for the Jimmy Fund with half the proceeds from its sale going to that charity.
The White House is the home of presidents of the United States. It is located at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington, DC. It has served as the official residence of presidents since the time of Thomas Jefferson.
