GENERAL INFORMATION. In the 1950s, television hit America hard and changed our life forever. At that time it greatly affected the movie industry. In 1950, only nine percent of American homes had a TV set but by the end of the decade, 80% had one or more. This figurine depicts a grandfather with his grandson on his lap watching one of the few channels available on their 12-inch set.
