GENERAL INFORMATION. General Joseph Warren was a hero of the Battle of Bunker hill. He was an active Mason. He was killed in the battle on June 17, 1775. He is standing next to the original brick and wood monument dedicated in 1794 by the King Solomon's Lodge of Charlestown, MA (where the monument is located). A replica of the original monument can be viewed at the base of the stairway of he present monument.
