GENERAL INFORMATION. This miniature was commissioned by the town of Marlboro, Massachusetts to celebrate the 100th anniversary of its incorporation. The station was built in 1893 by the Fitchburg Railroad. It was subsequently taken over by the Boston & Maine RR. Passenger service was ended in 1939. The station fell into disrepair and was torn down in 1987.
