GENERAL INFORMATION. The Beehive Shop commissioned this piece. Robert Blake, State Treasurer of the Grand Lodge (of Masons) of Massachusetts is wearing a clown costume, originally inspired by Ernie Pearlstein of the Allepo Temple of the Shriners ('Rollo the Clown'). The Shriners are well known for their generosity in supporting hospitals that treat children with orthopedic problems and burn injuries. (See SML-317).
