GENERAL INFORMATION. This figurine was issued for the 2004 Christmas holiday season. It depicts an angel as a drum majorette. It has a gold string for hanging. It is the sixth and final in a series of annual Christmas ornaments produced under the Wayland Studios label. Each of these ornaments has been individually painted by Margery and 'Woody' Baston. This series is inspired by the original series of figurines created by Prescott W. Baston commonly known as the Children's Band group. This group was produced in 1942 in Ceramastone to replace popular German wooden items that were no longer being imported because of the Second World War. These original figures are difficult to find and quite valuable today. (See SML-42 to SML-47.)
